Welcome to FightTWC.com, the reason for this site being develop is because I noticed that when I was fighting against the Texas Workforce Commission, I could not find a lot of valuable information online or from people to help me battle them and my ex-employer. You may read more about my story on my "about me" page.

I just realized how hard it was for me to get answers and after going through the system twice and tons of research, I have put together lots of info to help those individuals who are having as much trouble as I did. I have focused on the Texas "Republican" employer-favored system that shows disregard to the employees in Texas, thus the lower than national average unemployment rate.

 

I have walked the line and gone through the system twice now, once being successful and the last being unsuccessful because of a system that is designed so the employer wins and unemployment insurance is usually denied. With the economy the way it is, it is especially hard for workers in Texas to get approved for Unemployment Benefits because they set you up to fail. The news tends to focus on Texas' low unemployment numbers compared to other states, but the problem is that the percentage is incorrect and falsely shown, because it does not show how many unemployment claims are denied. If it did, then the percentage would probably be sitting in double digits about now. But the percentage shown for Texas is about 2 points lower than the national average ONLY because so many are denied benefits.

But the point of this site is to inform and hopefully give you any added help to assist you or someone with their unemployment claim, because it can be really tough being unemployed. I have included pre-written letters and other info needed prior to being unemployed. I hope this information is helpful in anyway possible for you or anyone you know. Also please note I am not a lawyer, just a average person who has gone through the system and seen the unfair treatment it has caused on me and others even when I had material that should have helped me win, or at least I thought.
